Waterford's nightlife is bustling with pubs, bars, nightclubs, and some of the country's best theatres. There are many possibilities, from a quiet night out with friends to partying till dawn. Dooley’s Hotel features local musicians every weekend and from May to September.
If you want to relax and enjoy the atmosphere at a bar with character, there are a number of excellent pubs in the City. The Reg offers 7-nights-a-week entertainment near Reginald's Tower. Downes on Thomas Street has been in the same quirky family for six generations. Geoffs Bar, The Gingerman, Katty Barrys, Jordans, and the Three Shippes are more City Centre pubs worth visiting.
Kazbar, Crystal nightclub, and The Factory are three nightclubs in the John Street Village that cater to various tastes and interests. Revolution, The Reg, and Sinnots bar are nearby late-night bars open till 2.30am.
 
Theatre
The Theatre Royal is both the oldest theatre in Ireland and the one with the smallest stage; it is a beautifully restored Victorian theatre housed in a Georgian edifice.

With 8 screens The Odeon Cinema always has a wide line up to choose from. You also have the newly opened Omniplex to choose from as well.
